By RER A: the direct train
The RER A runs directly from Gare de Lyon to Val d’Europe, in about 33 to 35 minutes, with trains roughly every 15 minutes.
- Find the RER platforms. The RER station at Gare de Lyon is underground and separate from the main-line concourse. Follow the red RER signs.
- Take the A branch towards Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy. Check the destination on the board, because some trains finish their journey earlier.
- Get off at Val d’Europe for the shopping centre and La Vallée Village outlet, or stay on one more stop to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy for the Disney parks.
Buy your ticket at a machine or use a travel pass before you board. Check the current fare for your zone with the operator.
By private transfer
A private transfer picks you up at Gare de Lyon and takes you door to door to your hotel or to Val d’Europe. It is the better choice if you have heavy luggage, several children, a pushchair or a group of up to eight, or if you are arriving late at night.
- Fixed fare: €90 for up to four passengers, €100 for five, €110 for six, €120 for seven and €130 for eight.
- Included: a baby seat and a booster seat, free of charge. Your driver also monitors your train arrival time if you give us the details.
- Payment: pay the driver at the end of the journey.

What to expect at Gare de Lyon
Gare de Lyon is one of the biggest stations in Paris, with main-line trains, the metro and the RER all in one place. After a TGV arrival, allow 10 to 15 minutes to walk from your platform to the RER A platforms, which are deep underground. Follow the signs rather than the crowd, and check that you are heading for the A line towards Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy and not the opposite direction.
If you are meeting a private driver instead, tell us your train number and arrival time when you book, and we will plan the pick-up around it.
What it costs per person in a group
The private transfer fare covers the whole vehicle. At the fares above, four passengers pay about €22 each, six about €18 each and eight about €16 each. For a family, that buys a door-to-door ride with no stairs and no changes.
Good to know before you travel
- The RER A is crowded at weekday rush hours, so avoid it with large cases at around 7:30–9:30 and 17:00–19:30 if you can.
- Stations have stairs and escalators, and lifts are not always available, which matters with pushchairs.
- If you arrive late at night, public transport thins out, so a pre-booked driver is the safer choice.
Which station do you need?
- Val d’Europe is for the Val d’Europe shopping centre, La Vallée Village outlet and many hotels in the area.
- Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy is the terminus for the Disneyland Paris parks, with the entrance a short walk away.
