Serris is the town that contains much of Val d’Europe, beside Disneyland Paris. It has aparthotels, the shopping district, lakes and its own RER A station. Charles de Gaulle airport (CDG) is on the same side of the Paris region, so a road transfer is quick. This guide covers the options for the journey and what to expect in the area.

Meeting your driver at Charles de Gaulle

Charles de Gaulle has three terminals: Terminal 1, Terminal 2 (split into halls 2A to 2G) and Terminal 3. A free automatic shuttle, the CDGVAL, links the terminals and the train stations, so tell us your airline and terminal if you know them. After you collect your luggage and walk out of the arrivals hall, your driver will be waiting with a sign showing your name. If you cannot spot them for any reason, call or message us straight away on WhatsApp or +33 6 67 33 32 67 and we will guide you to the right door.

Because we track your flight number, a late landing does not mean a missed driver. If your plans change a lot, such as a cancelled flight or a different airport, let us know as early as you can.

By train: TGV and RER A

The TGV runs from the airport to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy in about 10 to 12 minutes, and from there the RER A takes you one stop back towards Paris to the Serris–Montevrain–Val d’Europe station. The alternative is the RER B and RER A through Paris, which is slower. Check the operators for current timetables and fares.

About Serris

Serris is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department, part of the Val d’Europe agglomeration. It is a good example of how fast the area has grown: official figures show a population of about 422 in 1982, about 898 in 1990 and about 2,320 in 1999, rising to just over 10,000 today. That growth followed the arrival of Disneyland Paris and the new town of Marne-la-Vallée. The commune also has La Vallée Village outlet, school buildings from the 2000s and a university presence through the Marne-la-Vallée campus.

What is in Serris

Staying in Serris

Serris suits families and groups who want an apartment with a kitchen, shops within walking distance and the parks close by. It is flat, modern and easy to walk with a pushchair. Supermarkets in the shopping district help if you are self-catering.

Planning your arrival day

  1. Landing: allow time for baggage reclaim.
  2. The drive: around 30 to 40 minutes, so a 14:00 landing usually has you in Serris by about 15:45.
  3. Check-in: aparthotels often have fixed check-in times, so ask about early luggage storage.
  4. Supplies: shop for groceries on arrival so the first morning is easy.

More about the area

For the shopping centre and the area in more depth, read our CDG to Val d’Europe guide.

Night arrivals and the return journey

  • Night-time surcharge: a surcharge applies to transfers between 8:00 pm and 6:00 am. It is always stated and confirmed in your booking, so there is no surprise on the day.
  • Going back to the airport: for a flight, we recommend being collected at least 3 hours before departure. For a train, allow 2 hours. If you tell us your flight time, we will work out the pick-up with you.
  • Delays: we monitor your flight or train number, so a delay moves your pick-up and does not cancel it.

Why book a fixed fare

After a flight, a known price and a driver waiting with your name is worth a lot. Piyo Cab has been running transfers around Paris since 2008 and is approved by Transport in France. Use the fare calculator for your exact group size, or message us on WhatsApp with your flight number and we will confirm the fare.
