Chessy is the small commune in Seine-et-Marne where much of the Disneyland Paris resort sits, about 40 km east of central Paris. Most visitors come for the parks, but the area has plenty more to fill a long weekend, from shopping to an aquarium and a nature resort. Here is what to do and how to get around.

Fares, timetables and ticket prices change. The figures below are what we found at the time of writing, so check the operator or our price calculator before you travel.
1. The Disney parks
The big draw is Disneyland Paris, which has two parks: Disneyland Park and a second park that was formerly Walt Disney Studios Park and was renamed Disney Adventure World in 2026. Between the parks and the station is Disney Village, the dining and entertainment area. Plan at least a day per park, and check the official website for opening hours and ticket options before you go.
2. Shopping at Val d’Europe and La Vallée Village
Val d’Europe is a short ride from the parks and has a large shopping centre. Close by, La Vallée Village is an outlet shopping village with discounted fashion and homeware. It is an easy half-day, and a good wet-weather choice. Read more in our guide to La Vallée Village.
3. SEA LIFE aquarium
There is a SEA LIFE aquarium at the Val d’Europe shopping centre. Its tunnel with sharks swimming overhead is a hit with children, and the visit takes a couple of hours, making it an easy add-on to a shopping trip.
4. A day at Villages Nature Paris
A short drive away, Villages Nature Paris is a nature-themed resort run by Center Parcs. Day visitors can use the water park and outdoor attractions. Read our full Villages Nature Paris guide for fares, parking and how to get there.
5. A simple two-day plan
- Day 1: morning at Disneyland Park, lunch at Disney Village, afternoon in the second park, and an evening show or dinner.
- Day 2: morning at SEA LIFE, lunch and shopping at Val d’Europe, then La Vallée Village in the afternoon.
More ideas are in our guides to activities in Disneyland Paris and things to do in Magny-le-Hongre.

Planning tips for a smoother trip
- Book tickets and hotels early. School holidays and weekends are the busiest times, so book well ahead.
- Disney Village is free to enter. It is a good place for an evening meal even if you have no park ticket that day.
- Use Val d’Europe on a rainy day. The shopping centre and aquarium are indoors.
- Allow travel time. The RER A takes about 40 minutes from central Paris to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy, plus the walk to the entrance.
Where to stay near Chessy
Staying near the parks saves time. You can choose a Disney hotel, a partner hotel around Magny-le-Hongre and Val d’Europe, or Villages Nature Paris. We have written about several of them, including Explorers Hotel, Disney’s Hotel New York and Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne. Whichever you choose, a pre-booked transfer from the airport to the hotel door is the easiest start to the trip.
What it costs per person from the airport
The transfer fare is per vehicle. From Charles de Gaulle, a group of four paying €80 spends about €20 each, and a group of eight paying €100 spends about €12.50 each, with baby seats and booster seats included.
