Chessy is the commune where much of Disneyland Paris stands, and its railway station, Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy, is the gateway to the resort. Flying into Beauvais airport (BVA) and heading for Chessy means crossing the Paris region from north to east, a drive of roughly 110 to 125 km. This guide compares the private transfer with the public transport route and explains how to plan around early and late budget flights.

Private transfer from Beauvais

Your driver meets you at arrivals and takes you to your hotel, to the Disney area or to the station, with no changes. For a family arriving on a late budget flight, this is by far the easiest way to reach Chessy.

PassengersFixed fare for the whole vehicleAbout per person
1–4€160€40–160
5€170€34
6€175€29
7€180€26
8€185€23

The fare is per vehicle, not per seat, and it does not change with traffic. A group of four pays €40 each, so a family or a group of friends shares the cost of the longer drive from Beauvais.

What is included

  • Fixed fare, no meter: the price you see when you book is the price you pay, however long the drive takes.
  • Flight tracking: give us your flight number and we watch it. Budget flights often land a little early or late, and your driver adjusts to the real landing time.
  • Child seats: one baby seat and one booster seat are free. Tell us the children’s ages when you book.
  • Pay at the end: booking is free, you pay the driver after the ride, and you can change or cancel up to 24 hours before.

By public transport

From Beauvais the public transport route is long. The airport shuttle bus runs into Paris, to Porte Maillot, in roughly 1 hour 15 minutes, and from there you continue by metro or RER to Châtelet–Les Halles and change again to the RER A. With the connections and waiting time, many travellers report two and a half to three hours in total. The shuttle routes and timetables have changed in the past because of roadworks, so check the airport’s official site for the current service before you plan around it.

The RER A ends at Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy, so you cannot miss your stop. It takes about 40 minutes from Gare de Lyon and about 50 minutes from Châtelet–Les Halles. The station is at the entrance to Disney Village, close to the park entrances, and it is also served by TGV and Eurostar.

About the Chessy station

  • Four networks in one place: RER A, TGV, Eurostar and OUIGO services all use the station, which was built with the resort in mind.
  • Beside the parks: the entrance to Disney Village is next to the station, so on foot you are close to the parks.
  • Hotels further out: if your hotel is outside the resort, such as the family hotels at Magny-le-Hongre, a private transfer takes you to the door and saves a second leg by shuttle or taxi.

Where to stay near Chessy

The Disney hotels and partner hotels around Chessy and Val d’Europe all fall within the Disney-area fare. See our guides from Beauvais to Explorers Hotel, Dream Castle Hotel, Grand Magic Hotel and Hotel Cheyenne. For things to do beyond the parks, read things to do in Chessy.

Why a long transfer needs planning

  • Budget-flight timing: very early or late flights are common at Beauvais, when public transport thins out.
  • Luggage: families often arrive with extra bags and pushchairs, which are hard on the changes in central Paris.
  • Cost per person: at four passengers the fare is €40 each, and it falls as the group grows.

Returning to Beauvais

Flights from Beauvais often leave early, so plan the pick-up ahead of your airline’s check-in deadline. Book the return when you book the arrival, tell us your departure time, and we plan around it. You can change either leg up to 24 hours before.

Why the Beauvais fare is higher than from CDG or Orly

The fare follows the distance. Beauvais is far to the north, while Charles de Gaulle and Orly are much closer to Chessy. Here is how the three airports compare, using Piyo Cab fares for the Disney area.

AirportDistance to the resort areaTypical drivePiyo Cab fare, 1–2 passengers
Charles de Gaulle (CDG)About 30 kmAbout 30–40 minutes€70
OrlyAbout 45 kmAbout 45 minutes€80
Beauvais (BVA)Roughly 110–125 kmAbout 1 hour 20–30 minutes€160

For a group of four, the Beauvais fare is €160 in total, or €40 each, so check whether the flight saving at Beauvais covers the longer transfer.

A typical arrival day from Beauvais

  1. After landing: allow time to collect your bags and meet your driver.
  2. The drive: about 1 hour 20 to 30 minutes to Chessy, so plan for check-in rather than the parks on the day you land.
  3. Check-in: if you arrive before your room is ready, hotels will usually store your luggage so you can go straight to the parks.
  4. Evening: Disney Village is beside the station and stays open into the evening, which suits tired travellers.

Eurostar and TGV: another way to arrive

Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy is also a Eurostar and TGV station, so many visitors, including families from the UK, arrive by train and use the station as the start of their stay. If your group is split between a flight and a train, we can collect some of you at the station and some at the airport, with one booking for each.

Practical tips

  • Give the exact name of your hotel, because several have similar names.
  • Arriving at another airport? See our guides from CDG and Orly.
  • All Disneyland fares are on the Disneyland Paris transfers page.
