Charles de Gaulle airport (CDG) is the main arrival point for visitors to Disneyland Paris, about 30 km away on the east side of the Paris region. There are four sensible ways to make the trip: a private transfer, the direct TGV, the RER B and A trains through Paris, and Disney’s own Magical Shuttle. This guide compares them honestly, with times and prices, so you can pick the one that suits your group, your luggage and your arrival time.

Fares, timetables and ticket prices change. The figures below are what we found at the time of writing, so check the operator or our price calculator before you travel.

Private transfer: door to door

A pre-booked driver meets you at arrivals and takes you straight to your hotel or to the Disney area, with no train timetables, no changes and no carrying cases up station stairs. For most families this is the least stressful option, especially after a long flight with tired children.

PassengersFixed fare for the whole vehicleAbout per person
1–3€70€23–70
4€80€20
5€85€17
6€90€15
7€95€13.60
8€100€12.50

The price covers the vehicle, not each seat, and it does not change with traffic. Groups of nine or more are priced on a larger vehicle, so use the fare calculator for those.

By TGV: the fast direct train

The TGV is the quickest way. Trains leave from the combined TGV and RER station next to Terminal 2 and reach Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy, the Disneyland Paris station, in about 10 to 12 minutes. They do not run as often as the metro, with gaps of roughly 20 to 60 minutes depending on the time of day, and tickets are for a specific train, so a delayed flight can mean waiting for the next one.

  • Ticket prices vary with the train and how early you book, so check SNCF Connect for the current fare.
  • From Terminal 1 or 3 you first need a free airport shuttle to the Terminal 2 station, so allow extra time.
  • At Chessy you are at the park entrance, but a hotel outside the resort still needs a bus or taxi from the station.

By RER B and RER A through Paris

The RER B runs from the airport into central Paris, where you change at Châtelet–Les Halles to the RER A towards Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy. The whole journey takes 1 hour 10 minutes or more, and the Paris Region–Airports ticket covers it, so check the operator for the current price. It is the cheapest option for one or two people, but the change at Châtelet means stairs and crowds, which is hard work with large cases or a pushchair. Rush hour is busy in both directions.

By Magical Shuttle

The Magical Shuttle is Disney’s own airport bus. It leaves from Terminal 2E/2F and drops at the resort’s hotels and at the park, taking roughly 40 to 60 minutes depending on the stops. Recent guides put departures at intervals of up to about 45 minutes, so check the official shuttle site for today’s timetable and fare before you rely on it.

Which option should you choose?

Your situationOur suggestion
Family of four or more with luggagePrivate transfer. At €80 for four it is €20 each, with no changes.
Arriving late at night or very earlyPrivate transfer. Trains and shuttles are less frequent at those hours.
One or two adults, carry-on onlyTGV if a train fits your landing, otherwise RER.
Staying in a Disney hotel and happy to shareMagical Shuttle, if the timetable suits.
Staying in a partner hotel in Magny-le-Hongre or Val d’EuropePrivate transfer straight to the door, which saves a second bus.

How the fare splits across your group

A private transfer is priced per vehicle, so the cost per person falls as your group grows. Here is how the Piyo Cab fare to the Disney area divides.

PassengersPiyo Cab fare (whole vehicle)Per person
2€70€35
4€80€20
6€90€15
8€100€12.50

Train and shuttle tickets are charged per person, so their cost rises with every extra traveller. Check the operators for their current prices and compare them with the fares above. For small groups a train can cost less, but for a family the private transfer is the only option that takes you to your hotel door with no changes.

How booking a transfer works

  1. Enter your route in the fare calculator: CDG as the start, and your Disney hotel or area as the destination.
  2. Add your details: number of passengers, children’s ages for the seats, your flight number and arrival date.
  3. Receive confirmation straight away. Nothing is charged upfront.
  4. Meet your driver at arrivals and pay at the end of the journey.

The return trip to CDG

Going back is the part that catches people out. Plan to arrive at the airport about three hours before an international flight, and allow for the morning traffic on the roads towards the airport. If your flight is early, the first TGVs and shuttles may not match your departure time, which is another reason families book the return pick-up when they book the arrival. We can confirm both together, and you can change either up to 24 hours before.

Tips for a smooth arrival

  • Share your flight number, terminal and hotel name when you book, so the driver can plan for your landing time.
  • Allow time for passport control and baggage reclaim, which is often 45 to 60 minutes after landing.
  • If you are staying outside the resort, look at our guides to Dream Castle Hotel, Explorers Hotel and Val d’Europe.
  • For the return trip to the airport, book the pick-up when you book the arrival so both are confirmed.
