Dream Castle Hotel is a family-friendly hotel at Magny-le-Hongre, a few kilometres from Disneyland Paris and about 30 km from Charles de Gaulle airport. Guests often ask how best to get there after landing: the hotel shuttle only starts from the Chessy railway station, so the real question is how to reach that station, or whether to skip it altogether. This guide sets out the options with times and prices.

About Dream Castle Hotel

Dream Castle Hotel is one of several large family hotels on the Magny-le-Hongre road, with 399 rooms and suites decorated around a fairytale theme. The hotel describes worlds of fantastical creatures, told through tapestries, murals and themed furniture, so the look is closer to a storybook than to a standard business hotel. It is aimed squarely at families who want to be near the Disney parks with a theme their children will enjoy.

Rooms

Rooms range from about 25 m² for the smallest to about 54 m² for the largest, so there is a real difference between a basic double and a family suite. The categories are double rooms, queen double rooms, family rooms, suites and rooms adapted for guests with reduced mobility. Connecting rooms are available for groups of six to eight, which is useful for two families travelling together or grandparents with grandchildren. If you need a particular layout, ask for it when you book rather than on arrival.

Eating and drinking

  • Le Bosquet Gourmand serves the American-style buffet breakfast, with hot dishes, cold cuts and pastries.
  • L’Astrolabe is the bar, open from 10:00 until midnight under a glass roof designed to look like an observatory, serving seasonal dishes, pastries and cocktails.
  • La Rôtisserie opens in the evening, from 18:30 to 22:30, with exposed beams, a large fireplace and rotisserie meats.

Pools, spa and play

The hotel has an indoor heated pool with a sauna and a jacuzzi, and a themed pool called Dragoon Lagoon with a water slide, which is the one children head for first. An outdoor pool opens from 1 May. Adults can book spa treatments such as massages, body treatments and facials, and there is a fitness centre. The grounds include French-style gardens, and there are play areas for younger children. Through the year the hotel also runs themed buffets, live entertainment and character meet-and-greets, so ask at reception what is on during your stay.

Practical points

  • Parking: 300 spaces, free for bookings made through the hotel’s own website.
  • Park tickets: Disney park tickets are sold at reception, which saves queuing at the park gates.
  • Wi-Fi: available in the hotel.
  • Shuttle: free, about every 20 minutes, to the parks and to the Chessy station.

Who it suits

Dream Castle suits families with children of primary-school age who will enjoy the pools and the theme, groups that need connecting rooms, and guests who like a spa after a day on their feet. If you prefer a quieter, adults-only atmosphere, a smaller aparthotel nearby may suit you better. Compare it with Grand Magic Hotel and Explorers Hotel, which are on the same road.

Facilities, opening times and room types change with the season. These details come from the hotel’s website and booking listings, so confirm anything that matters to you when you book.

Private transfer from CDG to Dream Castle Hotel

With a private transfer your driver takes you from the arrivals hall directly to the hotel entrance. The drive takes around 30 to 40 minutes, and you avoid the train, the station and the wait for the hotel shuttle. Because the fare is for the whole vehicle, it gets cheaper per person as your group grows.

PassengersFixed fare for the whole vehicleAbout per person
1–3€70€23–70
4€80€20
5€85€17
6€90€15
7€95€13.60
8€100€12.50

The price covers the vehicle, not each seat, and it does not change with traffic. Groups of nine or more are priced on a larger vehicle, so use the fare calculator for those.

What is included

  • Fixed fare, no meter: the price you see when you book is the price you pay.

  • Child seats: one baby seat and one booster seat are free of charge. Tell us the ages when you book.
  • Payment at the end: pay the driver when you arrive. Booking is free, and you can cancel or change up to 24 hours before.

By train and the hotel shuttle

The hotel’s free shuttle collects guests at Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy station, so the train route has two stages. First you travel from the airport to Chessy, either on the direct TGV from the Terminal 2 station (about 10 to 12 minutes) or on the RER B and RER A through Paris (over an hour). Then you wait for the hotel shuttle.

  • Shuttle times: every 20 minutes, or every 40 minutes at quiet times, from 8:00 until two hours after the parks close.
  • Bus 2234 also serves the area from around 5:00 to 2:00, stopping within a five-minute walk of the hotel, according to the hotel.
  • Plan for the gaps. If you land at 6:30 in the morning, the first shuttle is not running yet.

When a private transfer makes more sense

The shuttle is a good free service for getting from the hotel to the parks during the day. It is less useful on arrival day, when you are carrying luggage and, often, tired children. A private transfer is usually the better choice if:

  • your flight lands before 8:00 or late in the evening;
  • you are travelling with a pushchair, several cases or more than four people;
  • you would rather avoid a train change and a second wait with luggage.

Driving yourself

By car the hotel is reached from the A4 motorway towards Paris or Metz-Nancy, leaving at junction 14 and driving about 2 km. The hotel lists a pay car park with 300 spaces, which it says is free for bookings made through its own website.

A typical arrival day

  1. Landing and passport control: allow around 45 to 60 minutes between landing and walking out of arrivals, longer at busy times.
  2. The drive: about 30 to 40 minutes to Magny-le-Hongre, so you can be at the hotel an hour and a half after landing.
  3. Check-in: if you arrive before the room is ready, ask reception to store your luggage while you head to the parks.
  4. The first evening: use the free shuttle to reach the parks or Disney Village, which takes around 10 minutes, with departures about every 20 minutes at busy times.

Using the hotel shuttle well

The shuttle is free and works well for park days, but a few habits make it easier. Aim to leave a little before you need to, since the shuttle runs on a timetable and not on demand. In the evening, remember the shuttle runs until two hours after the parks close, which gives you time to stay for the last show. At quiet times it only runs every 40 minutes, so check the timetable at reception on your first day.

The return to the airport

For the trip back to Charles de Gaulle (CDG), many guests book the return when they book the arrival. A morning flight means leaving before the hotel shuttle starts at 8:00, so a pre-booked driver at the front door is the practical option. Allow three hours before an international departure, and tell us your flight number so we can plan the pick-up time.
