Marne-la-Vallée is a large new town east of Paris, and its name covers several very different places: the Disneyland Paris resort, the Val d’Europe shopping town, university campuses and quiet residential areas. If you are flying into Beauvais airport (BVA) and heading anywhere in this area, the first question is which part you need, because the route and the fare depend on it. This guide explains the options.
What is Marne-la-Vallée?
Marne-la-Vallée is a planned “new town” created east of Paris. It is home to Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios Park, to Val d’Europe, and to higher-education institutions such as Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée, ESIEE Paris and the École des Ponts ParisTech. It also contains the Espaces d’Abraxas housing estate in Noisy-le-Grand, which has been used as a film location. Most visitors from the airports are heading for the Disney end of it, around Chessy, Val d’Europe and Magny-le-Hongre.

Private transfer from Beauvais
A driver meets you at arrivals and takes you to your address in Marne-la-Vallée, whether that is a Disney hotel, an aparthotel or a family home. The fare below applies to addresses in the Disneyland Paris area. For other parts of Marne-la-Vallée, such as Noisy-le-Grand, Champs-sur-Marne or Lognes, send us the address and we confirm a fixed fare before you book.
| Passengers | Fixed fare for the whole vehicle | About per person |
|---|---|---|
| 1–4 | €160 | €40–160 |
| 5 | €170 | €34 |
| 6 | €175 | €29 |
| 7 | €180 | €26 |

By public transport
From Beauvais the public transport route is long. The airport shuttle bus runs into Paris, to Porte Maillot, in roughly 1 hour 15 minutes, and from there you continue by metro or RER to Châtelet–Les Halles and change again to the RER A. With the connections and waiting time, many travellers report two and a half to three hours in total. The shuttle routes and timetables have changed in the past because of roadworks, so check the airport’s official site for the current service before you plan around it.
The RER A is the backbone of Marne-la-Vallée. It runs from central Paris to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy, which takes about 40 minutes from Gare de Lyon and about 50 minutes from Châtelet–Les Halles. Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy is also a TGV and Eurostar station, so some visitors, including many from the UK, arrive by train rather than by air.
Which part of Marne-la-Vallée are you going to?
| Area | What it is | How we price it |
|---|---|---|
| Disneyland Paris, Chessy, Val d’Europe, Magny-le-Hongre | The resort, the shopping town and the hotels | Disney-area fares above |
| Torcy, Noisy-le-Grand, Champs-sur-Marne, Lognes | Residential and business towns further west | Fixed quote on request. See our Torcy guide. |
Why a long transfer needs planning
- Distance: Beauvais is far to the north, so the drive crosses much of the Paris region.
- Early and late flights: budget flights often land at awkward times, so a pre-booked car is the dependable choice.
- Group size: the cost is shared, at about €40 each for four passengers.
Getting back to Beauvais
Book the return when you book the arrival and tell us your departure time. Flights from Beauvais often leave early, so we plan the pick-up around your airline’s check-in deadline. You can change either leg up to 24 hours before.
How Beauvais compares with the other airports
Most people choose an airport on the flight price, but the transfer to Marne-la-Vallée changes the comparison. Here is how the three Paris airports compare for the Disney end of Marne-la-Vallée, using Piyo Cab fares.
| Airport | Distance to the resort area | Typical drive | Piyo Cab fare, 1–2 passengers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Charles de Gaulle (CDG) | About 30 km | About 30–40 minutes | €70 |
| Orly | About 45 km | About 45 minutes | €80 |
| Beauvais (BVA) | Roughly 110–125 km | About 1 hour 20–30 minutes | €160 |
Beauvais is the longest and the highest fare, so it works best for groups who can share the cost, for early and late flights, and for travellers whose fare savings are large.
Arriving by train instead
Many visitors reach Marne-la-Vallée without flying at all. The Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy station is served by the RER A, TGV and Eurostar, so travellers from the UK, Belgium and across France can arrive directly at the resort. If you are combining a flight with a train, tell us your arrival times and we can meet you at the station or the airport, whichever comes first.
Staying on the quieter side
If you want a calmer base than the resort, towns such as Torcy and Noisiel are on the same RER A line and have supermarkets, restaurants and the Bay 2 shopping centre. See our guide to getting from Beauvais to Torcy.
