Staycity Aparthotels Marne-la-Vallée is a modern aparthotel close to Val d’Europe and about 30 km from Charles de Gaulle airport (CDG). It suits families who want more space than a standard hotel room. The hotel is a short drive from the railway stations, which makes the last leg of a train journey the awkward part. This guide compares the main ways to get there from CDG.

About Staycity Aparthotels Marne-la-Vallée

Staycity is an aparthotel, not a conventional hotel: instead of a single room, you book a studio, an apartment or a villa with its own kitchen. That suits families on a longer stay, because you can prepare breakfast, keep snacks in the fridge and do a load of washing, which keeps the costs of a Disney trip down. It is listed as a four-star property and sits a five-minute drive from the parks.

Apartments and villas

  • Studios and one-bedroom apartments for couples and small families.
  • Four-bedroom villas sleeping up to 16 people (12 of them, according to listings).
  • Five-bedroom villas sleeping up to 20 people (10 of them), which suits large family reunions or two or three families sharing.

Listings describe fully equipped kitchens, living and dining space, flat-screen TVs, rainfall showers, Hypnos mattresses, free high-speed Wi-Fi, and fresh towels and linen. There is a guest laundry and a cleaning service.

Facilities

  • 24-hour reception and shop, so you can pick up basics late at night.
  • A 24-hour café bar serving breakfast, snacks and drinks.
  • A fitness centre, a lounge, gardens and a children’s play area with an activity corner.
  • An outdoor swimming pool, open in the summer months.
  • Parking for around 182 cars.

Check-in and the shuttle

Listings give check-in from 15:00 and check-out before 11:00, with later check-in (16:00) and earlier check-out (10:00) for villas. Because reception is open 24 hours, a late arrival is not a problem for getting your keys. A free shuttle runs daily to the Disney parks, but we could not find its timetable, so ask the hotel for the current times before you rely on it.

Who it suits

Staycity suits families who like self-catering, long stays, and groups that want a villa instead of several hotel rooms. If you prefer a hotel with entertainment and on-site restaurants, look at Grand Magic Hotel or Explorers Hotel. For the same hotel from another airport, see our guides from Orly and Beauvais.

Facilities, opening times and room types change with the season. These details come from the hotel’s website and booking listings, so confirm anything that matters to you when you book.

Private transfer from CDG to Staycity

A private transfer is the simplest option for an aparthotel. The driver takes you from arrivals to the door of the building, which saves a taxi ride or a walk from the station with luggage. With apartment-style stays you often arrive with more bags, including groceries or a pushchair, so the extra space in the vehicle helps.

PassengersFixed fare for the whole vehicleAbout per person
1–3€70€23–70
4€80€20
5€85€17
6€90€15
7€95€13.60
8€100€12.50

The price covers the vehicle, not each seat, and it does not change with traffic. Groups of nine or more are priced on a larger vehicle, so use the fare calculator for those.

What is included

  • Fixed fare for the whole vehicle, confirmed before you travel.
  • Flight monitoring for arrivals, so a late landing does not add to the price.
  • Child and booster seats are provided free when you ask for them in advance.
  • No payment upfront. You settle with the driver at the end, and you can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before.

By train from the airport

There are two train routes, and both end with a short taxi or bus ride to the aparthotel. The direct TGV from the Terminal 2 station to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy takes about 10 to 12 minutes, runs only every 20 to 60 minutes, and tickets are set by SNCF. The RER B and RER A route through Paris takes over an hour, on the Paris Region airport ticket. For either, you can get off at Val d’Europe, which is the nearest station, but you still need a lift for the last few minutes.

Why an aparthotel suits a Disneyland trip

  • More space: apartment-style rooms give families room to spread out. Check your room type for kitchen facilities.
  • Shuttle to the parks: a free shuttle makes day trips easy, with no car needed.
  • Val d’Europe close by: the shopping centre has supermarkets, restaurants and shops, so you can stock up. See our Val d’Europe guide.

Arrival day in an aparthotel

An aparthotel works a little differently from a standard hotel, so it helps to plan the first few hours.

  • Check-in: confirm the reception hours before you travel, especially for a late landing, so someone is there to hand over your keys.
  • Supplies: if your apartment has a kitchen, a short drive or walk takes you to the supermarkets at Val d’Europe for breakfast and snacks on the first evening.
  • Luggage: self-catering stays tend to mean more bags, and a vehicle with space for them and a pushchair makes a difference.

How the cost compares

For a family of four, the private transfer costs €80 in total, or €20 each. A train ticket gets you only as far as the station, and you still need a taxi or bus for the last part, so the saving is small once you count the whole journey. For five or six people the per-person cost falls further, at €85 for five and €90 for six, and for any group it is the only option that stops at the door.

Your return to the airport

When you check out, a driver collecting you from the entrance is easier than a bus and a train with a full set of bags. Book the return together with your arrival, give us your departure time, and we will plan the pick-up to give you around three hours before an international flight.

Tips before you travel

  • Check the reception hours if you land late, so someone is there to give you your keys.
  • Tell your driver the full address, since several aparthotels in this area are similarly named. If you are comparing, see our guides to Staycity from Orly and Adagio Serris.
  • For the whole picture of the trip, read our CDG to Disneyland Paris guide.
